2013 Volunteer appreciation garden party

On May 30, close to 100 volunteers along with their significant others, were celebrated at the Arboretum’s annual volunteer appreciation dinner—a garden party held near the Peter J. Shields Oak Grove and our gazebo. The sun setting behind the historic trees, our incomparable late spring evening weather, and speeches from grateful Arboretum staff were just a few of the evening’s highlights.

We are so appreciative of our volunteers’ dedication and enthusiasm. The resource that the Arboretum has become to the campus and community would not be possible without their participation. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, stay tuned to our e-newsletter where we will keep you posted about upcoming volunteer orientations this fall or winter. If you haven’t yet signed up to receive it, email arboretum@ucdavis.edu with the subject line “e-news” and we will add you to our list.
