Get to know the Arboretum’s Ruth Risdon Storer Garden, a Valley-wise garden featuring flowering perennials and small shrubs that are especially well suited to Central Valley climate! It is designed for year-round color with low water use and low maintenance plants, and features a demonstration planting of roses and companion plants.
Learn more about the garden, its plants, and ecological importance directly from UC Master Gardeners who help maintain the garden. It’s a great opportunity to learn more about this highly regarded, gorgeous landscape and get inspired!
This is an informal drop-in program, not a guided tour. Please stop by to ask and explore! Master Gardeners will also be available to answer questions, share plant information, and highlight environmentally-friendly gardening practices.

The event is free. Biking is encouraged, but parking is available on the street or in nearby parking lots at no charge on the weekends. The event is free; parking is free and available along Garrod Drive, in Visitor Park Lot 54, Visitor Park Lot 55, or Putah Creek Lodge Parking Lot.
