The current issue of Public Garden magazine, a publication of the American Public Gardens Association, features an article written by Kathleen Socolofsky, assistant vice chancellor and director and Mary Burke, director of planning and collections, both staff with the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden

The article entitled “Enhancing the visitor experience: the power of collaboration” gives a great overview not only of the history of the UC Davis Arboretum, but how the Arboretum succeeded as the result of the power of collaboration and co-creation. And now, because of its successes, the Arboretum’s operations and programs have been expanded to include the entire 5000+ acre campus as the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden.
