Apply to Be a Reserve Land Steward

Help transform and enhance public open space on the UC Davis Putah Creek Riparian Reserve and naturalized lands, build climate and fire resilience, and benefit the campus community and the broader region as a Reserve Land Steward. Apply to be a fellow with the California Climate Action Corps at the Arboretum and Public Garden. In addition to performing on-the-ground land management and habitat restoration, fellows will also receive training, build networks and be mentored by expert staff.

Restore wetland habitats, care for climate-ready trees, and renovate campus landscapes to better handle a warming climate as a fellow with the California Climate Action Corps at the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden. In addition to on the ground work, fellows will also undergo training, build networks and work under expert mentors.

Students Lead Habitat Restoration at Russell Ranch

At Russell Ranch, just west of campus along Russell Boulevard, a transformation is underway. What was once grazed pasture and alfalfa field is becoming a thriving native habitat led by UC Davis students and funded by The Green Initiative Fund, or TGIF.
