Position Title
Co-Vice-President
Terry Davison graduated from UC Davis in the mid-sixties and has spent most of her adult life here since then. She began attending the arboretum sales from the beginning when they were held at the headquarters, and a few of the eager gardeners lined up with their own wagons and boxes, and shopped from a small selection of plants.
When she retired in 2006, she began volunteering as a gardener. Later, she joined the propagation group and now works in the nursery. Terry feels fortunate to have worked with Emily Griswold, Lisa Fowler, and Taylor Lewis, who all taught her so much.
Terry admits that she has a weakness for buying plants. At most sales, Jay (her now-deceased husband) and Terry would load a large cart with plants that intrigued them as they wandered through the nursery. They always found a spot for them in their garden.
Terry Davis rejoined the Board of Directors of the Friends of the UC Davis Arboretum and Public Garden in 2024 and was also elected as Co-vice-President of the board. When not gardening and still volunteering in the Teaching Nursery, Terry also enjoys travelling, reading, cooking, swimming, and playing pickleball.
